What We Do

There is no substitute for collaboration – people coming together in common purpose, supporting one another so an entire community benefits. Our common purpose, to improve the health and healthcare of those who live, work and play in Southern Oregon, creates opportunities for collaborative learning and collective action. With the support of its diverse members, partners and sponsors, Jefferson Regional Health Alliance exists to raise awareness of community health issues, promote best practices and work toward healthcare transformation.

Strategies

1. Foster communication, collaboration and interconnectedness between organizations and individuals

  • Provide a neutral space for shared learning and dialogue
  • Facilitate relationships that build trust and cooperation
  • Convene and help organize the health and healthcare community

2. Hold a collective vision of community health

  • Identify health challenges we can best tackle collectively; Focus on service gaps and region-wide problems
  • Engage issues that impact health, including the social determinants of health, from a broad community perspective

3. Cause things to happen, rather than make things happen

  • Be a catalyst for change
  • Be an incubator; Help find and leverage resources to support projects and initiatives that respond to community needs
  • Employ the power of a collective community voice for advocacy
